What will you do?

Santam Claims has an opportunity for Document Indexing Clerk Agent the position will be based in Johannesburg. The successful incumbent will be responsible for the correct indexing of all claims related documentation in a pre-determined order, ensuring that these images are clear, enabling easy and effortless retrieval for the handling and finalising of claims.

Under direct supervision, performs routine clerical support for functional groups such as copying, distributing mail, performing simple calculations and maintaining records and files following standard procedures with all work certified or checked.

What will make you successful in this role?

Under direct supervision, performs routine clerical support for functional groups such as copying, distributing mail, performing simple calculations and maintaining records and files following standard procedures with all work certified or checked. Moreover, the individual must be able to identify documents and match the documents to a list of document types on the system – Kofax [System] and batch the document against the claim number.

Qualification & Experience

  • Matric or equivalent
  • Experience in co-ordination of mail distribution
  • Ko-fax experience
  • Short-term insurance experience advantageous
  • Maintaining, filing and retrieval of documents
  • The individual must be accurate and efficient
  • Computer literate
